  2. FilmMAKERS Kit is owned and operated by the creatives at COMV productions, LLC. COMV productions, LLC (“COMV“, “we“, “our“, or “us“) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, store, process, transfer, share and use data that identifies or is associated with you (“personal information“) and information regarding our use of cookies and similar technologies.

  1. Our Websites use cookies to distinguish you from other users of our Website. Comments

  1. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

  2. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Media

  1. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

 

Contact forms

  1. We use the Contact Form 7 plugin to manage contact form submissions. The information is sent as an email message that only a select few from our team are allowed to access.
  2. The information is also stored in the database on our hosting server for backup and later reference purposes.

 

Embedded content from other websites

  1. Content on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

  2. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

 

How long we retain your data

  1. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

  2. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

What rights you have over your data

  4. We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and services to you; We use Thrive Cart to fulfill our credit card/PayPal payment processing and order completion, and we use Drip to manage email campaigns individuals opt into.

 

What we collect and store

  1. When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide an email address and your first name. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as:

  3. Create your account for our Learning Management Service
  4. If you register a free or paid account then we will store your email address and first name.
  5. We store information about you for as long as your account exists.
  6. We store course progress, including completion status, quiz scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable).
  7. We will also store comments on courses, lessons, topics, assignments, and essays if you choose to leave them.

 

Who on our team has access

  1. Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Group Leaders can access order information such as your enrolled courses, course progress, and username/email address.
  2. Any additional information added in your FilmMAKERS Kit User Profile can also be visible to the administrator(s).
