COMV is a working production company based out of Utah.

A passionate team of creatives set out years ago to build, from the ground up, a production company that would allow us to inspire the world with the stories we longed to tell. With plenty of mistakes along the way, we have loved learning from each wrong turn as we have grown into a premier independent film studio. With decades of experience in professional film work, thousands of productions, and hundreds of the best clients we could only dream of at the beginning; we want to take what we learned and pass it on to filmmakers like you embarking on that same journey.

With an 8+ year tenure writing with COMV as well as numerous other professional writing endeavors, Jacob brings life into the way we say the things we say. The powerful educational concepts present throughout FilmMAKERS Kit have been refined again and again by Jacob allowing every course to be digestible by filmmakers of all experience levels.

Under his leadership as a business owner and film director of COMV productions, he brought together a team of creatives and laid out the structure that inspired them to realize professional success. Weston has crafted the FilmMAKERS Kit by hand using that same growth inspiring structure that guided the COMV team to be able to tell the stories they dreamed of, so you can too.

Where was the iconic scene of a classic cinema filmed? Roy will know – because without fail he has been to the exact location to find and recreate the shot on his time off.  Beyond being a huge movie buff and master of filmmaking terminology, Roy has the unique experience of having taught 9,000+ students over 30 years in the public education space. His passion for film combined with his delicate care and experience in education brings a personal touch to all the FilmMAKERS Kit courses.
